Escape Game in ICP 2018!

This week, five second-year medical students piloted an escape game inside the simulation theatre at the Cumming School of Medicine. Locked in a room, the students worked together to solve a series of puzzles in order to escape within the 30-minute time limit. Created by alumni Anthony Seto (Intro to Clinical Practice Course Chair) and Michele Cowan (ATSSL Simulation Consultant), the game is designed to help students practice their teamwork skills and introduce them to the simulation theatre environment while removing the medical knowledge distractions. The escape room, themed “Midnight Manikin,” will officially launch in the 2018 iteration of Intro to Clinic Practice and will also be available to local departments, community members of the Health Sciences Campus and other groups as a team building exercise. #medschool #medstudent #studentlife #myucalgary
